Clay County court dockets are divided among the Circuit Court Clerk, the Clerk & Master, and the Celina City Court Clerk. Tennessee's appellate search is a separate system and does not combine those local trial records. This private reference site organizes the verified office contacts, court roles, and search limits so readers can begin with the custodian most likely to hold a case.

Why We Built This Site

Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34 recognizes access to public court records, but access still begins with the office that keeps the file. Clay has no verified public trial-court search portal. Circuit, Criminal, and many General Sessions questions begin with the Circuit Court Clerk. Chancery and related Juvenile questions begin with the Clerk & Master. Celina ordinance and city-traffic matters go to the City Court Clerk. The Tennessee Public Case History tool applies only after a case reaches an appellate court.

  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or setting listed on this site is current right now

Only the clerk of court or the trial court that heard the case can issue an official or certified copy of a docket sheet or court record. We can point you to the right office, but the document has to come from them.
